Café Triest offers an extraordinary experience in Jerusalem. The unremarkable door on the Via Dolorosa allows you to enter a world that you probably wouldn’t have suspected in Jerusalem. Café Tirest inside the Austrian hospice brings the charm of Viennese coffee house culture to the Holy Land.
The café is the perfect place to break up your visit to the Old City and recharge your batteries with a Viennese melange and apple strudel, either in the so called Kaiserstüberl or in the garden. By the way, this is the largest freely accessible garden in the Old City of Jerusalem and definitely worth a visit. Schnitzel and Sachertorte are also available, of course.
Café Triest is also open to guests who are not staying at the hotel.
The kitchen with local and Austrian specialities is staffed until 9 pm, the café closes at 10 pm.
Walking distance from Jerusalem Light Rail station Damascus Gate: 3 minutes.
