Hataklit (The Record)

The Hataklit is located near the Russian Compound on Jaffa Street. The bar is a Jerusalem landmark and a meeting place for the city’s bohemians.

Often described as contrarian in the otherwise religious city, Hataklit has been a popular meeting place for artists, journalists, writers and a number of outsiders looking for an affordable drink.

The interior of the pub has a minimalist décor and record sleeves adorn the walls of the bar. However, especially on warm evenings, some offenders are drawn outside, where the bar also offers seating. Happy hour runs from 4.30pm to 9pm on weekdays and offers a buy-one-get-one-free deal on all drinks.
