Biblical Zoo

If you are planning a trip to Jerusalem for the whole family, you should definitely pay a visit to the Jerusalem Biblical Zoo. Here, young and old can marvel at the breathtaking grounds that cover 62 hectares in the south of Jerusalem.

At the center of the park is a huge man-made lake with waterfalls and side pools. Around the lake, spacious green areas with shady spots invite visitors to relax. The park also includes a wildlife savannah with free-roaming animals and and a train that takes visitors through the park.

More than 170 different species of animals can be admired in the zoo. These are different species of fish, mammal species, reptile species, amphibian species and bird species. Most of them are mentioned in the Bible.
