The Tomb of David is located on Mount Zion in Jerusalem and is revered as the burial place of the biblical King David, who ruled over the Davidic Empire he established some 3,000 years ago. It is an important holy site of Judaism.
But the site at the foot of Mount Zion is worth a visit for more than just its history. From the terrace of the Room of the Last Supper, and with it the roof of the Tomb of David, there is a breathtaking view of the Dormitio Abbey with the Mount of Olives and the ancient city walls in the background, which you must capture on a photo.
Especially when the sun goes down this viewpoint is recommended.
Walking distance from Jerusalem Light Rail station City Hall: 20 minutes.
