The Israel Museum is undisputedly the largest and most important museum of the country. Anyone who travels to the Holy Land and wants to learn about its history and culture should not miss a visit to the museum.
The National Museum is located in the western part of Jerusalem in the Givat Ram district. It is one of the leading international museums for fine arts and archaeology and consists of four different departments: the art department, a department for Judaica and Jewish ethnography, an archaeological department and a youth department. Due to this diversity, which covers an area of about 50,000 m2, it is not surprising that the museum is visited by more than 950,000 visitors annually.
In addition to the countless historical legacies of the Holy Land on display, the building’s individual architecture is another highlight.
