Within this tour you can expect to visit Masada Fortress, Ein Gedi Nature Reserve and the Dead Sea. It starts in the early morning to ensure you arrive at Masada in time to see the sunrise over the desert and the Jordanian mountains.
After leaving Jerusalem, continue east through the Judean Desert to the foot of Masada. As you ascend the Serpent Trail, a moderate 45-minute hike, the sun will rise over the mountains in the east, offering breathtaking views. You will reach the top just in time to relax in front of the breathtaking desert landscape and watch the red sun shimmer on the still waters of the Dead Sea. After descending, the bus will be waiting for you, ready to continue the day’s adventures.
You will then continue to Ein Gedi, a desert oasis, where you can take a short hike. In the nature reserve there is a stream with cold, water that leads to various pools and refreshing springs where you can cool off on hot days.
The last part of the tour is spent at the lowest point on earth, the Dead Sea. You can float in the salty water before heading back to Jerusalem.
The Masada Sunrise Tour is a great opportunity and combines some of the most beautiful and unique places in Israel, which are difficult to reach on your own.
